Lots of bird calls woke us today although when we checked the time it was 7:15 and time to rise. Had an issue for the second day in a row which insufficient battery charge. Had to start the car to run the pump long enough for a shower! As we were planning a couple more free camps decided to get some more water. One of the other campers told us that there was a fresh water tap near the dump point at a nearby park( Wilks Park). (not the tap used for cleaning the toilet cassette!) We headed there and as usual found the tap was on the wrong side of the van. After a couple of 3 point turns I managed to orient the van so that the hose reached the filler port on the van and we filled up. Parked in town and went for a walk around Wagga Wagga for an hour or so before finding a cafe for the morning caffeine boost! Onward then along the Olympic Highway and down to the Hume Highway and to a nice spot on Lake Hume in Victoria again called Ludlow’s Reserve. With this type of camping there is no real need to unhitch the van unless a side trip is planned and we just noted that we haven’t unhitched the van in 3 days!
