Another early start as we wanted to get out on the road before the peak hour. Unfortunately, the night before, we didn’t get back to the park until after 10:00 pm and there is a 10:00pm curfew and you can’t get your car in after this time. We felt like we were naughty teenagers sneaking back after a night on the town!
Anyhow, we managed to reunite car and caravan and hit the road my 8:00am. So much for beating the peak hour! Got onto the Hume Hwy and drove to Shepparton then onto the Goulbourn Valley highway towards Tocumwal. Stopped at Wunghnu for coffee and a stretch then to a lovely free camp on the Murray River on the Victorian side called Ulupna Island, a woody area with a sandy beach next to the river. Perfect! There were quite a few Koalas here too and fairly tame! Had a nice bike ride and a drink and dinner by the campfire!
