Sunday 22nd April Journal entry brought to you by (a very positive) Tami Today was our first complete day in Cairns so we spent it very productively by not getting up until 11am. Actually Sophie got up at 11, I was awake from 6.30ish (WHY?!!) and had to keep going to the loo. Not quite sure why. I think it's because I've started drinking a lot of tea.....hmm... Is tea a diruetic? Anyway, I began reading another Jeffrey Archer novel, I am beginning to get addicted to him. 'A Matter Of Honour' has airs of the Da Vinci Code and is proving very gripping so far. After a while Sophie and I had lunch / breakfast at 2 ish and then headed into town at 3.30pm. We shopped around for hot air balloon rides as Sophie's Christmas present from her mum was to do this, and we wanted to go with the best company around. We eventually found one with a free day trip to Fitzroy Island thrown in so we plumped for that one. Although we have to be up at 3.30am - so not cool.  We then managed to get more free stuff, we went on the internet for two hours and were only charged for one each! Woop! I then managed to finish the book while we were waiting for the bus home, it was AMAZING - you should all read it. Seriously great book.  We then collected free meal vouchers and headed back out into town and went to the woolshed. We then had a brief stroll to the night markets (which we didn't actually get to), and then returned to the hostel where we played pool and sorted out some stuff to send home. I overpacked. (But not as much as Sophie). We then, lamely, went to bed. Again, not a particularly interesting day. (Could quite possibly have gone without an entry but then Jon would win his bet and that would suck for us as he would rub it in forever.) So we were in bed. Then I went to the bathroom, can't remember why now. And that is when it happened. At 10.35pm I had a 'Life Affirming Positive Moment'. Honestly it was so weird. I was just in the bathroom and then I felt like I'd been engulfed in a warm wave of positive energy, and I just couldn't stop smiling and being happy. It was a great moment. I'm sure you are all a bit not interested but it was a really powerful thing and I wanted to share with with you. Lots of (positive) love to you all.
