Sophie And Tami Were Here
Tuesday 24th April
Journal entry brought to you by Tami (who should be more asleep than she is)
Sophie and I got up RIDICULOUSLY early today considering what time we got to sleep. It was ridiculous, we were up at like 8! EIGHT AM. What is with that. I have no idea.
We went into the city to meet up with Luke and Holly as it was their last day, and had a very sad lunch. But we're definately going to meet up with them at some point in New Zealand so it's all cool. Sophie and I then went souvenier shopping and then went to Global Gossip to send home a parcel each. Mine is a 9kg box and should take a couple of months, Sophie's is a 5kg that should arrive in about 3 weeks. Feels like such a release to get rid of all the stuff I'm not using. Although I've thrown out a lot since coming away, dropping 9kg has definately made a difference. It's fab. All my clothes now fit into the bottom section of my rucksack, it's so cool! Like a mini wardrobe. However it does mean that all the pictures I upload from New Zealand, I will be wearing the same thing. Ah well.
After sending these home (and filling in about a gabillion forms for each one), we met up with Chris (Pink House originator) and went back to the hostel. Was great to see him again, as always (-: . When back at the hostel, we learnt that Chris was in our room now that our other room mate had moved out, which was awesome! Sophie and I had a nap for about 3 hours, and then we went to the Woolshed for free food with a girl called Frances who was in the room next to us. We then went to Woolworths and bought Anzac cookies for tomorrow which is Anzac Day, and some Jam tarts because it has been a while. We also packed up our stuff as we leave for Cape Trib tomorrow morning. Yet another early start awakes us, 7.15am is our pickup....groan......
