We started from our camping ground at Dyrdal on the Fjord to hike up the mountains. We were woken at 8am for a 9am start. I know 8am sounds late but I was very reluctant to wake up and get out of my sleeping bag. I was really glad I slept well and didn't need to make a trip to the long drop in the night. Today we are catching the train from Bergen to Voss for the start of our kayaking/hiking trip. It takes about a hour on the train. Now I can say that we are at Bergen. We caught a bus from the airport about 5:30am into Bergen to go to a hotel we were able to get a room for today. They were very good and let us leave our bags while we went out to breakfast. Checkin is at 2pm but they said we should be able to get in earlier. We went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Gavin started the day by hauling our suitcase down 4 flights of stairs. Did I mention that our room was up 4 flights and no lift? He had a full cooked breakfast at the original guest house.
