Hello again,
So we've had a few more eventful days since we last blogged. We had a loevly lie-in, for the first time in what feels like forever, on thursday morning. Then a lazy morning just catching up on emails etc. We made a yummy tomato rice soup and took another stroll to the park where we sat on the roundabout and Mary-Ann got bitten!!! She now has another limb growing out of her arm, where the culprit bit her.
That evening we went with Amy's friend Sarah to see her sister's grad fashion show at Curtin university. Emma, the student, along with the rest of her class was showcasing her collection and we were very impressed with the professionalism of the whole event. We felt very underdressed though! And very inadequate amongst all the long-legged, slim, tanned beauties. It cost the students $25,000 to put the show on!! We even got free goodie bags :) whose highlight was a bag of jelly bellies!! Mm...
After this we went for cocktails at Niche where the after party was. To our horror, cocktails were $17 each!! (About £10!) The bartender was very good (if not a bit too showy) though and it was fun to see the drinks made up. Plus they were tasty! We met a few of Sarah's other friends and were pleased to finally be hanging out with people our age, and they were all really lovely. We had a great night :)
Today we caught our first train in Australia. After meeting Amy's (second) cousin (once removed), Ellen, in town, we headed to North Beach for lunch, which was yuuuum! Had a nice relaxed time on the veranda. After this we drove to a little cafe called White Sugar where we met yet more friends of friends, but were very happy to! Had tasty milkshakes, too. It was good to meet a few people to prep us for the pub crawl/going out tomorrow, will be nice to see some familiar faces.
That's all for now, we want hats. Hat's all. Photos to come tomorrow we hope (though we've said this before!!!) Bye bye, lots of love as always,
Amy and Mary-Ann
