We woke up yesterday to pouring rain again. Eventually there was a part in the clouds, so we went out to take some photos around the resort. It started sprinkling just enough to cause the camera to malfunction. I tried drying it with the hair dryer to no avail. Hopefully over time.... Jody left for the ferry right after lunch. She is back at work Monday morning. Dave and his Mom watched a Chinese movie in the afternoon and I read my book. Some new people moved into the place upstairs and partied like rock stars until the wee hours of the morning. We complained at the front desk and we weren't the first ones to do so. They are here for one more night, hopefully things will be quieter tonight. It's Monday morning and the sun is shining!! We're off to do some exploring today. We drove north to the Egmont ferry that goes to Powell River. Stopped at a few scenic spots along the way to take some photos. We were using Dave's Mom's camera because ours still doesn't work. Her batteries died, so we were down to using our phones. We stopped at the store right by our condo and Dave saw that the front tire was nearly flat. We started making a beeline for the nearest gas station, but didn't get very far before we had to pull over on a side road. Dave changed the tire and as he was finishing a lady stopped to ask if he had all the tools he needed and offered the use of her compressor to refill the tire. She lived a few houses down so we took her up on her offer. She told us where to go to get the tire repaired and suggested a nice place for lunch. We think that when Dave pulled off the road to let someone pass, the tire fell into a hole and slashed the sidewall, so it can't be repaired. Managed to catch the Voice and Blindspot on TV. Got the laundry caught up.
