Bored in Bangkok...definitely not!

We arrived into the city yesterday to an airport with no exit signs and no sign of help, so after 30 minutes of aimless wandering we found the train to the city.

Two trains and a bus ride that introduced my lungs to Bangkok pollution and we arrived on the khaosan road. (Interjection: not had sleep for twenty for hours by now).

Bleary eyed (pollution from tuktuk exhausts) and a weary head, we were desperate for bed. UK time 3am. Arrived in hostel to find beds not ready for 5 more hours, so as you do, we curled up on a bench and went to sleep!!

Woken 6 hours later by hostel guy who says 'hey sleepy heads, your beds are ready'. Then taken to a dorm with aircon on full, a beautiful escape from 40degree heat. 3 hours more sleep :-)

So woke at sunset and headed for dinner which consisted of lots of snacks as we couldn't commit to one of the many many delights on offer...These included chicken heart skewers and pad Thai.

The first Thai lady to touch me introduced me to a thirty minute foot massage, for 2 quid :-) the second was a lady boy with a cheeky smile. I kept Jo a little bit closer from there on.

A fresh coconut later and we headed for bed.

Lay here now at 6am, uk time midnight. Body clock confused!! Temples and buddhas on mass today. Can't wait for more food!!
