What a long days travel to arrive on koh phagnan! Made slightly better by the fact that we had Tim and Nikki with us. Bus, ferry, bus, ferry, long bus, long ferry and songtau to finish off. A friend of ours Sam had booked us in for accommodation on a perfect and cheap rocky beach side bungalow for 350 baht, £7, so we were really excited to see her again and meet Amanda her friend from England.

Why go to Koh Phangan? The full moon party of course. And why at new year? because it's the biggest party on earth. 8 friends, one beach, 40 thousand revellers and an indiscernible amount of Chang can only mean one thing... CHANGOVER!

This would have been the perfect advert for that before and after alcohol awareness ad: drunk skunk, pissy sea wet pants, argument with lady over the price of shorts, cold tuna pizza... You get the picture!

3 words for new year 2013: fireworks, frivolity, friends.

And so begins one month of sobriety (NY resolution)...at time of writing on bus from Cameron highlands we are 11 days in and going strong.
