Cheap flight meant a night flight with a 6 hour stopover in Delhi airport in the middle of the night. Indian rules say that if you're on a connecting flight you have to leave the airport until 3 hours before your flight. So we were pretty happy to find a comfy chair at 3.30am when we were allowed inside. Marble floors don't make the best sleeping place.

1 hour flight delay because of typhoon hudhud which was now in Kathmandu, meant no sunrise from the plane over the Himalayas but still a beautiful window flight!
