After a quick overnight stop in Auckland we headed down to Taupo which was a lovely 6 hours on the coach but it went really quickly! I spent one afternoon horse riding which was scary enough in itself as I dont think I've been on a horse for 10 years but it was really good fun. Today we travelled up to the Bay of Islands, a four hour drive from Auckland, the scenery on the way up is quite impressive and pretty. The town we are staying in Paihia is a lovely seaside town, when we got here we just had enough time to check in before our "free" boat ride of the islands.
