After a quick overnight stop in Auckland we headed down to Taupo which was a lovely 6 hours on the coach but it went really quickly!

Once we'd arrived at the hostel we started looking at the activities to do in the area as Olof had already decided to do his bungee jump here we booked him in for the afternoon and headed over there as the weather was gorgeous warm and sunny! I was probably more nervous than Olof before his jump and couldnt even walk out onto the platform! As it is over the river he opted to do the baptism, so he went into the water up to his waist! As I was watching Olof, I must of had a moment of complete madness and started thinking about doing it myself! After about a hours umming and arghiiing I decided to go for it but as a tandem with Olof!

I have to say it was really really good, I was on a high for hours/days after and its not as bad as it looks though my screaming in the video tells a different story! I dont think I could have done it on my own as Olof basically pulled me off but I went out there and stood on the ledge all by myself! Its definitely something I'd do again but I would be just as scared! Olof thinks I scream like I'm about to die!

So everything else sort of fades into the background from today as I'm so proud of myself for doing the bungee as I am pretty scared of heights but as everyone says if it feels right you should go for it and I did. It was perfect weather, a gorgeous place and good people!
