Today we travelled up to the Bay of Islands, a four hour drive from Auckland, the scenery on the way up is quite impressive and pretty. The town we are staying in Paihia is a lovely seaside town, when we got here we just had enough time to check in before our "free" boat ride of the islands. This was great and well worth doing except it rained and we're not used to the cold yet! The islands are gorgeous and we drove through the "hole in the rock" which was cool. In the evening we had the bbq at the hostel which was good, cheap food that's what we like! After a long day travelling and knowing we had a early start the next day we headed for bed pretty early!
