Okay so I know I say this after every new adventure but this was honestly one of my favorite experiences so far. Sunday I arrived in Prosperine and at 7 I met my group at Abel Point Marina to begin the 3 day/3 night journey sailing along the Whitsunday Islands and scuba diving/snorkeling in The Great Barrier Reef. After some housekeeping announcements were taken care of, we could only take 1 minute showers and shoes were not a necessity, the 32 of us set sail on the Anaconda III. As we sailed further and further away from the marina the stars become so bright covering the entire sky. We spent some time getting to know one another, there were people from Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Brazil, France, Poland, England, Canada New Zealand, Australia, and The United States of America.
Every morning we woke up around 7 to get ready for full days of scuba diving and snorkeling. Scuba diving was such a cool experience, I mean you are meters below the water still able to breathe exploring a whole different world down there. The first day we stopped at Whitehaven beach, where the sand is made up 98% pure silica, the rest of the time after the beach stop was spent on the boat.
We would stop to do two different dives a day exploring life under the ocean, seeing some beautiful fish, sharks, turtles, and so much more. After the afternoon sessions the crew would raise the sails and we would sail to the next destination while watching the sunset. After the sun would set the stars came out, more than I have ever seen in my life! The second two nights I decided it was silly for me to sleep in my cabin under the boat so I spent the nights on the front of the boat under the stars, falling asleep watching the shooting stars, it was so perfect!
Living on the small sailboat for three days was a great time to just be. Nowhere to go, no technology, no worries! The other passengers were some of the kindest people and they were all so much fun. This was my last planned activity here in Australia and I could not have asked for a better way to end my amazing trip!

Sister Diana Sounds as if it was a great culmination as you prepare to return home. I'm jealous because I still have not seen a shooting star. Travel safe and be grateful to have such wonderful experiences of God's creation. Blessings!
