Does anyone remember the name of the random Irish guy from Brisbane? I'm 98% sure I've just spotted him up a mountain in Queenstown!
Are are the frickin odds?!
He clearly desnt remember me though coz he didnt even smile back but then I guess I did look fairly different back then. Was more tanned and had big curly hair....and had just entered a wet tshirt competition!
This place is seriously over run with Irish. Its like being in Ireland but with beautiful snowcapped mountains.
I have no idea what to do with myself. Its weird not being part of a big travelling circus and being in a hostel on my own. I got used to seeing loads of familiar faces at every stop. I feel totally out of the loop here.
Thankfully I'll be in a group again for the Fiji and Amercia leg of the trip. I dont want to be on my own. Strangers are hard to talk to :o( I'll get drunk later then it'll be easy to talk to people. Sorted
I hope when I move into my dorm they're nice people.
In fact there better be some people in my dorm and dear lord they better be nice and not all female!

Later that day...
There are three guys in my dorm. One wore a hideous tight fitting floral rugby shirt, the other didnt say much and the 3rd finally spoke to me when some randoms came in to hand out wrist bands declaring which teams we were supporting for the rugby.
He seems nice. Mid to late 30's, from Oz and was recently travelling with someone who was also from Coventry and went to Woodlands. Small world
Thankfully as I type this he is snoring, which is great news for me and my cold!
So after the gondala ride I pretty much spend the afternoon intermittently sleeping and reading. Getting picked up at 4.45am has clearly impacted on my sleep pattern, especially with Zara's leaving meal last night.
When I eventually crawled out of bed I ventured downstairs to watch the England vs Scotland game. It was a close call. If we'd have brought Flood on sooner I'm sure we would have won by more!
Anyway, at half time I swtiched venues and went from Altitude to some other bar with better atmosphere. From there I went back to redeem my free drinks for supporting the winning team, then onto world bar to drink teapot cocktails.
It was here I met my saviours of the evening, Ben and Brandon
Numbers were swapped and hopefully meeting them tomorrow for more fun times and maybe a luge :o) (after Milford and providing they survive the bungy)
I kinda wish I had more time to spend with these craziers.
Anyhoo, its 1.20am and I am being picked up at 7am
Sleep should happen
