Bula!
Another day, another hammock.
I bloody love these things. I'm gonna get one when I get my own place. Probably won't bother with the palm trees and the sea though. That's a bit too much effort.
Last day in Fiji today. Leaving here at half 3, heading back to the mainland and then onto the airport to wait around for a few hours before boarding my plane to LA. Where I shall arrive at 12pm today and I get to do this day over!
Crazy stuff but I'm looking forward to it.
Maybe I'll plan a birthday like this one year although I tend to celebrate both the 13th and 14th anyway
I've totally neglected to mention the transport to and from these islands. But I'm assuming you all realise its via boatS. Yes multiple. Each change is 3 boats. A little one that chugs along bumping over the waves and a bigger 'ferry' that takes you closer to your next island where you then board another little boat and head to land.
The best bit is never having to carry your bags. They have men to do that for you. The load and unload the boats and take them to your dorms. The only time you have to carry them is when you take them to check out.
Marvellous stuff seeing as I now, as always when I leave the country for any length of time, have gained a bag :o)
With having to cater for so many seasons I've had to keep a lot of stuff and not donate them to charity like I would have liked to.
Ah well. Its all good for now
Ooh and I touched a gecko when he wasn't looking the other night. I snuck up behind him and flicked his little dangly tail. This is course a lot more amusing if you say it like The Mighty Boosh's moon, like when he licked the sun's back.
