Happy Halloween!
As you all know, halloween is kinda a big deal for me. This year was somewhat different. No weeks of toying with ideas and spending hours on my costume. No. I settled for some face paint and sweated that off within about half an hour!
It's too hot to function plus my tummy is really not happy and so I'm in bed at 11.30pm on this glorious day!
Sucks but I'm not really capable of partying right now.
I'm pretty grumpy from being so itchy (58 bites at last count) and add that to being too hot and an upset tum, it does not equal funtimes party Ny.
I've got long pj bottoms on, tucked into socks and if I had a long sleeved top I'd be wearing that too. Of course I am too hot as it's easily nuddypants weather but I just really can't do with any more bites on my ankles/legs/feet.
Oh and did I mention I have heat rash too?
Paradise isn't all it's cracked up to be! Haha
Anyhoo, moan over. It's been fab in all honesty.
I touched a shark and met an Albino Fijian!
It must be hard being a brown boy trapped inside a white body. But jebus being an albino in this climate! Fook!
It's weird that I forget I'm not white sometimes. I probably should've have admitted that out loud but come on. You know me. My mum's more black than me!
I think cousin Jamie hit the nail on the head when he was telling me it's all about where you went to school and who your friends are.
I've probably been the only person on these islands who isn't white or Japanese or a local working on the resort. Yet until I wrote that sentence I was pretty oblivious.
I must have stuck out like a sore thumb. No wonder people remember my name!
Wow. I wonder if that realisation will effect how I see things tomorrow?
Last day in paradise before heading to LA to stick out like a sore thumb there amongst the beautiful people instead!
Oh before I finish I should probably explain the shark thing.
We went on a trip this morning to feed the reef sharks. It was really good, apart from the 'guides' being ridiculous with the sharks, grabbing them and even lifting them out of the water. Not cool but it did give me the opportunity to touch one.
I'd say it was similar to how dolphins feel. Maybe a dolphin/gecko hybrid if I was forced to describe it. Soft, smooth and kinda rubberish.
It's one to tick off the list anyway. Snorkelling with reef sharks
I've honestly been so bloody lucky to do these things on this trip and even take the trip in the first place
There are a few people I've met who I will do my very best to keep in touch with and to some extent stalk. Absolute legends who have made me smile, sorted my life out for me, taken me under their wing, gone out of their way to help me or given me a shoulder to cry on.
Expect to see me again, as soon as I can get to you!
Then there's those I left behind and actually bothered to keep in touch. You're a bit ace and the effort was greatly appreciated. I'll see you lucky scamps in 22 days at the earliest
Be prepared, I'm in desperate need of a good night out with music I actually like!
Colly/Campbell/Mosh fun times to be had. I cant cope with anymore dance/r&b stuff
