Ok, right well after a mad weekend over the Great Ocean Road and Phillip island I thought it was time for a well earned chill out day! Monday was the Queens birthday here so it was a long bank holiday weekend and everywhere would have been rammed so i decided to do NOTHING ALL DAY and it was great! So nothing really to report on that front! Tuesday I did some jobs...laundrey...mail boring stuff so we decided to go over to the Eureka tower at Sunset.
The Eureka tower is 88 floors, 300 meters high and is the highest building in the southern hemisphere so me not being very good with heights thought that it was worth a try! We wanted to see the whole of Melbourne during the day and at night so we headed there just before sunset and it was soooooooooo worth it- check out the pictures- got some great shots and great views! Your lucky to see these pictures as it took me a hell of a lot to go right to the edge to be able to take them and then to go outside to the edge! I was ooo proud of myself!
I was going to totally freak myself out and go out in the glass box that extends like 5 meters out with a glass bottem- but it was quite expensive so we all decided against it! I was quite relieved is a bit of an understatement!!
When we got back we all promised Chris a game of Monopoly as it was his last night before he leaves and thats what he wanted to do. However when I went back to my room the ghirls Im staying with were also leaving the next day and they wanted me to go out....
DECISIONS DECISIONS!! SO I DID BOTH!
We went over to Crowne Casino and had a few drinks in the bar and played some games (not gambling though- i dont gamble!), but because it was tuesday night there was not a lot of places open so we ended up in this wicked club called Eurotrash! It was crazy, it was one of those tall thin building and it was really funky- I cant explain it but we had a blast! There was about 15 of us I think and most peoples last ngiht so we had it large!!
I think we eventually rolled in about 6.30am and I was kindly woken up by the maid at 10am who said I shouldnt waste the day....so i got up. Feeling very delicate today so I have just been doing more of the boring jobs that need to be done and I will start again tomorrow!
Tell you what though, travellers can drink more than anyone I have ever met so wont be having many nights out like that I dont think!! be taking it easy like a sunday morning.....
Oh and I made the arrangements to go to tha farm on Sunday so I need to get things ready for that....
OH, AND YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT!!!
I only bumped into a lad from Buntingford today in my hostel!! How mental is that? Travel to the otherside of the world and you still cant get away from the BUNTINGFORD MASSIVE!! HA HA!
Anyway off to bed now as I have only had 4 hours and im falling asleep as we speak....
Night all. Much love xxxxx
