Day minus-5 (and counting), 30 June 2012, Friends, Romans, Countrymen.... don't worry about lending us your ears... as we don't have room in our backpacks. We left behind our big comfy house (bed, wardrobe and bathroom) a couple of days ago and moved into a good friend's apartment for our last week in Sydney. She lives up a hill and up four flights of stairs. (Hence the FABULOUS view of Sydney, Bridge, Opera House). Whilst I did suspect my bag was a touch heavy at 19kg, it is know confirmed beyond all doubt and I will be repacking (or, shall I say, re-re-re-packing) later today! James's backpack is 17 odd kg - much more sensible. Less clothes. Less shoes. Less said, the better. We have jumped on the Skype bandwagon and our Skype name is vivienneandjames. Honestly - if we can skype, anyone can! Leaving at 10 am on 5 July to Cape Town, South Africa - wish us luck & keep in touch - xxx VVN & James
