Day 361, 30 June 2013, Santiago, Chile. We all know it pays to improve your wordpower, and in the last couple of days we learned a new word - which we have immediately put into use. The word is "Exhaustipated". It describes the situation when you are simply too tired to give a s**t. Which pretty much covered it today. We accidentally slept in til 9.15 am - which meant there was no way we could make it to the 10 am walking tour. So we promised we'd have a stroll to the local artisans market and make it to the 3 pm walking tour. By the time we were up, bathed, dressed and eating breakfast, we noted the time was just on 10 am. Que? Due to heads no longer being screwed on tightly, the clock I'd looked at to check the time when we woke up was the one clock we hadn't adjusted for the time change from BA. So we could have gone on the walk. As it turns out it's lucky we didn't. We walked to the market - shut because it's election day and walked back. And that was quite enough. Not sure if it's the mild altitude - 1520 m nestled in the foothills of the Andes, or just plain old wear and tear, but we spent a gorgeous sunny day holed up in the apartment watching movies. And we loved every minute of it. Off to the coast tomorrow - Valparaiso, Vina del Mar and a winery visit in the Casablanca Valley. Fortunately all booked and confirmed, so no wiggling out of it. Can't wait!
PS - today's picture is us playing games with reflections in Plaza de Armas.
