The next morning we went jet boating by the Huka Falls in Taupo, known as the Hukajet.

The Hukajet travels along the river at 80kph, and can turn 360 degrees on it's own length, whilst the driver skids along canyon walls and narrowly avoids trees. The boats have 8.2l Chevrolet V8 engines, so they're pretty nippy and a lot of fun. A nice way to wind down after our skydive yesterday, though apparently a few tourists have lost their heads leaning out to take pictures!

After hanging on tight and getting a soaking, we moved on to Tongariro National Park.
