Perth was our final stop in Australia. It is quite a big city with a population of 1.4 million people. However again it didn't really feel so big. We stayed in a hostel in the City which again had Ozbekistan written all over it. Yet again it was dirty and very basic. After Monkey Mia we headed to Cervantes to see The Pinnacles. The Pinnacles are made up of thousands of limestone pillars, (182,074 columns) in a yellow sand dessert resembling an ancient ruin. Leaving Darwin we headed three hours south on the Greyhound Prison Bus to Katherine, a strange town largely inhabited by Aborigines. Katherine is the nearest town to Nimbuluk National Park, which contains Katherine Gorge, a gorge system made up of thirteen gorges.
