Alreet???
We are backin the Gulf of Thailand, this time though in Koh Samui (is it KO or KOH?, Luke will know).
We left Phi Phi with what seemed like every other person in Thailand, mass exodus for the Moon Party i reckon. So the four of us had to sit on the bloody floor. Anyway, we got to Chaweng beach, Koh Samui that night, and had to find a intenet cafe as we had forgotten the name of our hotel. As it happens there are five named the same, with only slight differences, ours was HI CORAL COVE. So we found it and after a quick turn around we headed for a Mcdonald's and then a few beers, but i think the day of travelling caught up with us, so we went to bed.
The next day we headed for our pool, yes we have a pool!!! We met a couple of canny lasses, Katie and Kerry, from Aldershot and Portsmouth, so we arranged to head into Chaweng together that night for a few drinks. We headed back to the place earlyish that night, and decided to ignore the 'Strictly no night Swimming' Sign, but it didn't last long.
The next day was the day of the Full Moon Party, so we just really chilled around the pool during the day, and decided to head to Haad Rin early for some food. We got the speed boat across to Ko Phangan, it felt like being on a boat on D-Day, everyone in quiet thought. We had arranged to Meet Adam, Nicola and Gaz between 8 and 9, afetr we managed to find everybody we went to a bar beach side to watch Blackburn beat Everton, to Gaz's joy, and our's really. Then we hit the beach, which was twice as full as june. After a bit wander around and we found Katie and Kerry we plonked our self in a spot with canny music and a bar, and stayed ther for ages getting hammered. We lost Nicola at one point, so Adam had to head off and find her, then Gaz had to head home, party because he couldn't stand. Around 6 we decided to find our speed boat home, we actually ran into Nicola, and told her Adam had gone home looking for her, she had the key. The Q for the boat was massive, until we realised we had booked ahead and could walk straight on, we got some looks, first organised thing we have done all trip. We collapsed when we got back, well Rik tried to lay by the pool, but failed. But it was by far and away for me the best night of the trip, absolutely Fantastic.
The next day was a right off, didn't get up until around 6. We finally got up and ready and headed into Chaweng. First thing i had to do was buy a new Camera, as the other was a casualty of the Moon Party, but they are cheap enough. Then we found an Irish Bar and got ready for the Match. We actually got to have Pints in the bar, which was well good after all the bottles. During the match we were surronded by Man U fans (Cockneys/ Irish/ t*** ) which made it even sweeter when the bar fell silent when Martins scored, but for us two of course. Cracking result mind, and a good performance. When Man U got a free Kick at the end we had a bit of a cheer when it sailed wide, to the joy of on of the Cockneys who turned and said 'Happy with a draw like lads' Sarkey nit wit, ERRRRRR YES YOU COCKNEY MORON. After all that swearing we got talking to a couple we had met in the camera shop, and ended up gettin hammered in celerbration!
The next day was another right off, well not as much but half of it. We headed into Chaweng to meet Adam and Nicola that night, a they had decided to come to Koh Samui for a few days. We basically just sat and discussed the Moon Party Shenanagans all night, and Nicola told us how she managed to get lost which was funny.
Anyway were off to Malaysia next, but we have loved Thailand and Especially the Moon Partys.
Sooooo Night Night Campers, See you in Malaysia xx
