Alreet???
How's work? We have finally arrived in Bangkok, the verdict? Absolutely Class. Bangkok is a really great city, and the people are extremely friendly.
We arrived with no problems at all (thank god) no delays to flights, bags got here fine, so that was a good start. We even had two of us between three seats on the way, Score. We left England the best way anyone can, By having a beer and a Burger at Wetherspoons, Mint.
We Taxied it to the Kho san road and Got to our Hotel, which is very nice, so we dropped our bags and headed oot. We actually went straight McDonalds (i know, i know) but in our defence we were starving. After that we went on the drink, and got a free feathery pen thing out of it. We met up with Pip and Luke a bit later, which was a great laugh, that boy can't make it round Glasgow, how the hell he found his way to Thailand i will never know, But Luke seems a big help. They showed us were they we're staying. 1.50 a night, all i can say is, am glad we booked ahead. After We went for a little walk off the Kho San Road down some of the Back streets, which was interesting. Then Back to the Road for more to drink. Ended up in a bar called Hippie bar, Chatting to to Dutch Birds. who hated us at first, but we charmed them round, and ended up having quite a good laugh. Mostly because Holland had just beaten Italy 3-0, nothing to do with us like. Then we Retired to our Hotel, Mortal.
We we're meant to be meeting Luke and Pip the next day at 10, That never happened. So when we got up, we decided to go Book our Train to head down south, and thats where we first encountered a Tuk-Tuk. My word, talk about heart in your mouth, i tell you playing chicken with a bus is not as fun as it sounds. Buth they are handy like. AFter our train tickets, where we met a Thai lad called Simon, never expecyed to meet a Thai simon like. We went to the River to catch to boat back up towards KSR (Am sick of typing it out in full). On the way to the river, we stopped at a suit shop, which we didnt wanna go to, but apparently the drivers get free petrol if we go in and look interested. Its happend twice now, so we have stared putting our foot down. On the River it Started Hoying it doon, we go soaked. Apparently it happens every day at the same time. We got off a stop Early and had a walk through some of the streets, we we're the only westenerns around, but everyone was dead friendly, we then went seen a Buddah Statue, which was fun and Headed Back to KSR. After food we met up with Luke and Pip agin, before they got there train to Chang Mai, after they left we just had a few drinks (playing football team name games) and met a few Lads from Wigan, who gave us a few handy tips. Thay we retired to our Hotel, Mortal.
I have to admit the next morning we had a massive lie in, but we we're Shattered like. So we really just had a Lazy day, went to a few Internet Cafes, they for a Pizza (we havent quite got into Thai foor fully yet) and went back to the Hippie bar and stayed there watching Euro 2008 till late. And Retired to our Hotel, Mortal.
We got up This mornin early, as we had to Check out (we would still be there now if we didnt), and headed off on a Tuk-Tuk to see the Giant Buddah Statue, which was really good like, had a wander round there for a bit. We paid for a cage full of birds, which you are meant to release and it brings you good luck, It will probably bring us bad luck, but all the Buddist we're doing it so we thought why not?.
So we are now gonna got some food, and then go see the Palace, before we get our train to Ko Phang-ang (wrong spelling i reckon.) at 7.30 tonight.
So Hope everyone is well, and hope you enjoyed our little bit about Bangkok. And to Amanda and the lads, hope you have a Wicked time in Kos, dont get too Drunk.
Night Night Campers, See you in Ko Phang-ang. xx
P.S. IM SIMON FETTES.
