hi everybody.

i cant get any punctuation at all to work today. whoops! so anyway i have found one reason to hate japan...typhoons. when i was swapping rooms this morning the receptionist said that a typhoon was coming and to be careful but i didnt even know what a typhoon was so thought what the hell i will go to the zoo. when i got out the station the rain began, and it was the sort of rain that you huddle in a shop door for and wait to stop but it didnt. it just got worse and continued all day long. it has now been like this for 12 hours.

the zoo was quite an experience in torrential rain. my trainers were full of water and my trousers soaked to my knees but i tried to ignore it and soldier on. i saw a lovely panda which was just passed out on its back fast asleep. the zoo was brilliant. only cost me about 2pound 50 and it had everything. zebras, rhinos, hippos, kangaroos, lions, tigers etc. i loved it. they were all inside because of the rain so they couldnt really hide from me which was a bonus.

my plan for today included going to the imperial palace but that is basically just a park so i gave it a miss for today as i couldnt feel my toes and decided to go to the electronic district instead. i went to the japanese equivalent of dixons and it was 8 stories high with millions of people and employees shouting deals at you. it was really crazy! i wanted to buy a new zoom lense for my camera but there werent any english signs and i didnt want to risk being ripped off!

after that i just sat in a cafe with some soup and watched the world go by. at about 3 i went back to my hostel and changed my room again to a 5 bed one this time. that is the worst thing about travelling having to pack up your bag everyday and start again in a new room, i can see myself getting very sick of that. anyway i made my new bed and lay down for 2 mins and then woke up 2 hours later!! i have just done my washing and now im going to get changed and go to shijuka which is the neon lights bit. the rain is still coming down strong and my one pair of trousers are still dripping so i am going to be very lily allen and wear a dress with leggings and trainers! oh and the hair today just isnt worth commenting on. i think im going to buy some mens hair gel to try and smooth my fringe down!

thats all i have to say for now. today was not as exciting as yesterday but it means i have to cram tons of stuff in 2moro abd its supposed to stop raining so woohoo!!
