Cafayate We decided that Sunday 9th July would be a quiet day as we had been on the move a lot and neither of was feeling that good with colds so we wandered around the nice town of Cafayate, did a bit of shopping, had a delicious lunch of different empanadas at 'la Casa de Empanadas' where they have flavours such as blue cheese and tomato. Day 3- Anna and I got up to see sunrise neat the salt flat which was lovely and we had some fun taking photos of our tall shadows in the early morning sun! We left after breakfast and immediately started our drive across the salt flat, which was as you imagine, a massive expanse of white, which meets the blue sky at the horizon. Day 2- Up early as departure time of 7.30. Luckily this meant we could see the sunrise although it was really cold still, pretty much just changed my pyjama bottoms for my jeans- no showers anyway and in those temperatures you wouldn't shower even if you could! After breakfast we drove to "Laguna Colorada" which was near our accommodation.
