(Photo is Salta, not Tucuman)
Am going to work backwards on updating my blog! So this will be my most current entry and then I will try to get up to date for the past few weeks.
So I am currently in a town called Tucuman. I decided to come here from Salta yesterday (4 hrs) as I was still thinking about where to go next and if I decided to go to Buenos Aires it would take a bit of time off that long journey! Spent some time today wandering around the town, and it's a nice place with some pretty buildings. It was really quiet this afternoon, especially compared to yesterday evening when the streets were still full at 8pm. I think it might have been siesta time as shops seemed to be closed, which seems odd for a Saturday but they probably open again later! I miss the blue sky already as have been used to it being so blue and almost cloudless! Not so warm either so as I head south I think I will be finding the temperature cooler by day as well as night - although I have experienced a lot of cold nights, day time weather has generally been warm and sunny.
I have my bus ticket to go to Buenos Aires tonight- I made the decision to go there next, as although I am not a big fan of cities generally people say it is a great place to visit. I was mostly considering not going to save some money but I decided it makes sense to go since I am here and it's now only a 14 hour journey away. The bus is expensive though at £60! Apparently it includes dinner (not just a sandwich) and breakfast and of course I don't need to pay a hostel for tonight but it still costs almost 3 times as much as what a similar length journey with a 'cama' seat would cost in Chile. As far as I know they have a similar standard of bus, but we'll see, as this is my first Argentinian night bus…..
