So today we left Taupo and headed for River Valley. The hostel was in the middle of nowhere, the dorm had 4 bunk beds which slept 32 people which was such a funny experience to be going to sleep so close to the people next to you! River valley was such a beautiful remote place. That afternoon we went horse trekking which was great fun! The horses weren't ridden in bits so I had to get used to a completely different way of riding, and we were going up steep hills. It was great fun, I couldn't stop laughing at fliss because her horse seemed to be lagging behind a lot and then would canter to catch up with everyone else!
That evening we all had a roast dinner and sat around whilst one of the guys played guitar and sang songs. Great day!
