So today we went luging! This was great fun. We had to get a cable car up which overlooked rotorua and the lake. We had 3 luge rides which meant we could go on the beginners, intermediates and then onto the expert run. Felicity's face was a picture, she was really concentrating hard on the guys instructions so that she didn't fall out the car! We then set off to go down the tracks in luge cars, the first and second go's were great fun but a little tame. The 3rd go on the expert run was the best, it had wiggly turns and humps, we got air on the humps and I went on two wheels round one of the corners!
This evening we went to a Maori dinner. It was great fun, fliss and I nominated ourselves for every activity which meant we got to learn a Maori ladies dance with a ball and string, a game with wooden poles and a sports training game. The men then learnt the huka. Dinner was incredible! It was a hangi which meant that the food was cooked underneath the ground! After thinking that we had eaten far too much to drink we found ourselves dancing the night away in the bar next door!
