Today we left for franz Josef which is where we are able to climb a glacier! Our hostel in franz josef was lovely and had a large hot tub so after doing some much needed laundry some of us jumped in the hot tub! I also went for a run that afternoon which was really nice in the trees!
The next day we has a helicopter ride to the top of the glacier and then hiked around on the top for a few hours! The helicopter ride was incredible and the hike on the glacier was a really awesome experience. We had to wear crampons on our feet which has studs in to help us not slip on the ice! Mine kept falling off, by the third attempt and help from my guide they were on properly! We walked up and down and through the glacier and were able for drink the fresh water! That afternoon we went in the hot pools near by which was lovely after the glacier walk!
