It felt like a mission leaving Darwin this morning. Driving out the boomgate 5min before they lock us in we dropped by the first caravan we stayed to have a drink and let the kids wear off some energy on the jumping pillow before going on our drive. This was all good until we went to leave and the car wouldn't start. It sounded like a battery problem and because Super Cheap Auto was just a few hundred meters down the road, we took the battery out and walked it do...

Our last full day at Darwin and the weather is near perfect once again. We headed to the city to enjoy some time at the wave pool. They apparently can make 10 different waves...we saw about 4 in the time we were there. The water was a nice temperature and it was great for the kids with also having a shallow section behind. In the park next door there was a free inflatable waterslide so Zach had some turns at that before we went back to a camper for a rest. ...

Today we went to Leanyer Water Park which was free. They had 3 water slides, a splash zone, a large pool as well as cascading pools. Zach went on the waterslide with Matt in one of those double boats and he LOVED IT! In the afternoon we also dropped by Howard Springs which also had some cascading pools (again cold), a park and a lake.

Today we moved caravan parks hoping to stay at a no frills one for half the cost of FreeSpirit as the next few days we would be out all day sightseeing. Unfortunately these were booked out so we didn't get one as cheap as planned. It was $10 cheaper and closer to the city with grassy shady site so it was better. As myself and the boys were run down with a cold we drove around town seeing what we could find. We had lunch at Fannie Bay, then drove up to East Poin...

While Matt spent the entire day replacing the new head, I took the kids to Kids Club where they made these snakes.
