Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
Our day began at Questacon and straight away I was a bit annoyed at the parking system. It is paid parking which I guess is expected in a capital city but the trouble is trying to guess how long you will need. Not knowing how big or how good the place is it could be 1 hour or 5 hours. We managed to squeeze everything there into 3 hours but a bit more time would be ideal.
Canberra Glassworks was next and it was an interesting to watch an artist in action. Individuals book the space so it is a good idea to check first before going as this is the main attraction and the best bit.
We then drove about 35km out of town to the Deep Space Communication Station which is run in conjunction with N.A.S.A. It was fairly small but good to see.
Then we replenished our energy with an overload of chocolate and sugar. A small cafe that is renowned for its "freakshakes" is where we splurged on a huge piece of cake and a nutella milkshake. The cake was good but the "freakshake" was amazing.
