Woke up with Blair, soph and Sean nowhere to be seen!! Recovered and napped in the sun till 1 then soph & sean returned after having gone for a massive bike ride (scooter not manual bike) and they let me borrow their bike :-)
had an amazing ride for a while, really cool almost empty road, and so nice to head off alone for a bit. stopping along the way at some of the most amazing beaches. stopped for lunch, best Panyang curry ever :-) i was hunting down some windsurfing, as there were lots of adverts for kite surfing, but i haven't had any luck yet. Continued the ride and got all the way up to the other end of the island (where of course there was another amazing beach).
Eventually headed back after 5 hours of exploring, Sean and sophie asleep, but Blair had gone back to his hostel as the music played here was too loud for him.
Slowly mobilised them up, and started getting ready for full moon party.
Headed down to the party at 9:30ish, got food then grabbed some beers from a 7/11 and hit the beach.
Absolute insanity, so many people and stuff going on, I tried a flaming jump rope and failed hard! Shame i didn't bring my phone as I was worried about loosing it, but it means I have no pics of the party :-(
We wandered the beach for a while, them decided to head off to the 'garden of Eden' - another cove that was apparently amazing.
Grabbed some vodka and mixers them got on the boat for 200 baht. Really randomly alex cole happened to be on the same boat, so that was pretty cool and I chilled with him for much of the night. The boat dropped us off on a deserted beach, with a few fancy looking bungalows. We wandered around for a bit, this was definitely not where we wanted to be!!
Ended up luckily meeting some guys staying there who directed us to Eden (bar), it was just up and over a mountain!!
Very hot sweaty walk though the jungle (on a path), and finally arrived at Eden. Absolutely amazing place, mt and partied for ages. Such a cool vibe there, and the place itself was crazy, basically carved into a rock on the seafront.
Stayed there until 8ish (there were placed to nap as well), then went and got a boat back to haad rin. Not too sure what to expect, but by the time we got back it was mostly finished, with rubbish on the beach and the odd traveler sleeping.
We went and got some breakfast, I had another pad Thai, yum. Although the pad Thais here are slightly different to those on the mainland, and not quite as nice.
Went back to find Blair in the hotel (he left early, an we were wondering if he'd manage to find it alright). All four of us piled into bed and finally a bit of sleep :-D
