For those of you that are actually interested We are now in Chang Rai which is North of Thailand near the border with loas.
We got here yesterday by coach which took 3 hours but only cost something stupid like 50p. We found a quality hotel which is just like a travel in, but its luxury for us because its clean and has a proper toilet and a shower.
Still shattered from our trek a couple of days ago where we walked for 6 hours up a mountain with a group of 12 and a native tribes person as our guide.
Wasn't all walking tho, for an hour of it we had a ride on an elephant. The person who was controlling the elephant got off after a few minutes leaving nic sitting on its head directing it. I was sitting in a seat on its back thinking of ways how we could swap around. It was well funny cos every 30 sec the elephant which we named Gladders kept putting his trunk in our faces for us to feed him otherwis it would just stop walking with the hump. Nic kept fight with the trunk cos it kept breathing in her face.
We finnaly got to a jungle tribe village where all the people were eying us up asif they wanted to put us in a big boiling pan and eat us.
Really good tho. They made us a camp fire where they cooked food and sung to us. Me and Nic thought it would be nice to sing back to them so we gave them a burst of Wonderwall.
We were literally in the middle of a forest with only candels as light. Their were hundreds of stars in the sky and all you could hear during the night were some dodge animals in the forest.
We slept in a little shack type stable thing with just a mosquito net as cover. The toilet (hole in the ground) was 20 metres away from where we were sleeping but you could not find it in the dark so i done the business near our camp area. Pooing under the stars. Just like a big bear.Beautiful.
We escaped being eaten during the night but at one point i thought a monkey had crawled into our bed before realising it was nics very hairy legs rubbing against me. Had fruit for breakfast before trekking back down the mountain for a couple of hours where we got to a natural spring with a waterfall where we went for a swim. I dived straight in well i mean nic pushed me in. It was brilliant and after some convincing (dragging nic in) she enjoyed a little swim aswell after forgetting about the possability of sharing the water with snakes.
It was nice up untill the point of seeing our guide washing himself and pissing in the water so we got out. Nic stacked it on the slippery rocks where everyone laughed at her. After wiping tears from my eyes i checked if she was ok.
Moving into Laos in a day or two beacuae this town is a bit small about the size of grays town centre just without the chavs.
Anyway for those of you who have read down to this point thank you please and love you long time.
