We took a 24 Hour bus to Jo'Burg from Windhoek, Namibia! We got to the bus station in central Jo'Burg and to be honest it looked as bad and dangerous as we have been told! When Nick got off the bus the bus driver told him when he leaves the bus station to 'Stay Sharp' as its pretty dangerous outside! After about an hour of waiting or pick up from the airport arrived whos car he had to get into through the boot window and told us storys about crazy times in the city!! We stayed on the East side on the city which we did'nt find ut till later is next to a huge dangerous township just down the road!! Nice!! We went on a tour of the famous township Soweto which stands for 'South Western Township'. We visited the real rich areas of the township and also the stone broke areas, and walked around one of them and went into one of the shack houses, which are pretty small and the neighbours are very very poor!! We also visited the Apartheid museum which is why south africa is still very divided today to do with the segregation and fighting in the last 50 years, that was an eye opener. and the museum of a little boy who got shot in a 'peaceful' school march which made soweto famous with the riots of 76' which was shocking aswel!! Today Desmond Tutu still lives in Soweto when he is in Jo'Burg and so does Winnie Mandela!! We also met up with Lartia & her mates (Nats Friend) and they took us out in Pretoria for a night and also round to there place for Brie 'BBQ' which was pretty awsome, as nick got to play on a playstation again after 8 months lol!!!!
