We travelled to valparaiso on the coast in Chile to chill out at the beach for a bit, however the weather did'nt want to play ball!! The town is pretty cool, reminded us of Rio in some ways as there are loadsa houses on the hills that go quite far up. It's the third oldest city in Chile, and ya will be able to tell this from the photos as the building are all quite old, but it is quite a cultural place. While we were there the school children were all protesting over schooling and bus prices, we got stuck right in the middle one day as they all blocked off a whole road and stopped all the traffic... that was of course untill the police turned up and put it to an end with tear gas!!

We took the subway over to Vina Del Mar whilst there as its just the other side of the bay, its a much newer town, more tourists and we found it quite amuzing there that people had redirected the flow of the river so they could use it as a car park!!

Because the weather wasn't to great we decided not to stick around so were heading north of Chile to the Atacama desert!!
