Our last day in Oz!! We got up early to pack and clean the house for Jenny before walking to the train station in Brisbane style with our bags in a trolley to save carrying them all the way!

We got the train to Southern cross station in the city which is also the bus terminal where we were able to catch the Sky Bus straight to the airport. Check in was a breeze and before going through security we went for a lunch/dinner at a McDonalds we had spotted on our way in.

Nick was targetted by a lady doing a survey on your time in Oz, it took about 15mins but he got a kangaroo keyring out of it lol.

The flight to Christchurch took about 3 and a half hours, not too bad but lots of kids! Passport control went smoothly and our bags not only came out together but were also some of the first out! Always a bonus on a late night flight.

We wandered outside the airport and found a shuttle bus into the city, directly to our hostel, YHA city central and it only cost 10NZ$ each. Luckily our hostel has 24hr staff so we were fine arriving at midnight. It is our first YHA and we are pretty impressed, the room is huge, clean, twin beds though lol. The kitchen and lounge room is gigantic too, really happy it has all gone so well today but mega tired so off to bed.
