Not much to report today. The storm they predicted arrived, so there was no point heading into Surfers. We went to Australia Fair, the mall down the road, and did some window shopping. Our bus to Byron Bay is early tomorrow morning so are getting an early night.

There were gray clouds in the sky but there are rumours that a storm is brewing for tomorrow so figured it was best to go to Surfers today just incase. We got the hostels free shuttle bus to the center and amazingly the clouds had cleared and it was scorching sunshine. Woke up early this morning to get our bus to Surfers Paradise. It was pourring with rain so though the bus terminal is walking distance we had to get a taxi. Our bus was late due to traffic and then when we finally got going there was a small problem with the coach so had to detour to their depot. Once all was sorted we were finally on our way. Arrived at Surfers Paradise and got picked up by our hostel Trekkers. We are staying just outside Surfers in Southport...

The plan had been to go to Australia Zoo today but we tried to book it it was already fully booked, so that was out the window unfortunately! Instead we walked the city, not alot to see in Brisbane really. We saw the numerous bridges, South Bank where they have gardens and a City Beach!! Which is cool with the city back drop. . . . . continued our trip south down the East Coast to Brisbane. With stops every 4 hours and a few dvd's played along the trip helped to break up the time. When we finally arrived we were both knackered. We found an abandoned shopping trolley by the bus terminal.
