We left Rotarua on our last kiwi bus journey that was taking us through to Auckland. We stopped for lunch in Mata-Mata, the town that Hobitan was set in!

This morning we bumped into a familiar face, Kerry who we briefly met in Surfers Paradise but was then on our bus for all of the South Island. Whilst catching up on the bus we realised we fly into LA on the same date and as everyone has said the best way to see LA is with a hire car we have decided to all hire one for 2 days and see the city together, keeps the cost down as it is all split between 3!! Should be a good laugh too.

When we finally got to Auckland we checked into ACB Base Hostel before going on the net to print all the bits we need for Hawaii and USA. Over dinner we planned LA with Kerry and after Nick went on skype whilst I did my best to catch up on emails!!
