Our next destination is Lembongan, a little island off Nusa Perida which is east of Bali. Our sole purpose for visiting Lembongan was to dive with Manta Rays, so after departing Gili Trawangan two and half hours later we arrived at Lembongan.
Immediately upon arriving, both of us were disoriented as we stepped onto a van and we have not been on a moving vehicle (other than a boat) for 2 months and we saw loads of dogs which again we have not seen for 2 months. Helen was happy to see the dogs again as she missed them on Gili Trawangan.
We headed to World Diving which was recommended by some of the staff back on Trawangan. However, they did not have any rooms and confirmed that they would not be visiting Manta Point the next day. Our stay on Lembongan did not start well. This meant that we had to do our usual search for a room and it was not much fun at all after spending 7 weeks in one room and not having to worry about water pressure, bed bugs, cockroaches, hygiene etc. We did manage to find a gem on the sea front.
Even though, World diving said they would not be visiting Manta Point we decided to do a days diving with them and hope that they would be visiting Manta Point the following day. The diving was OK, nothing outstanding and we felt a little bit robbed. When we returned from diving, the owners confirmed that they would not be visiting Manta Point due to the oceanic conditions. We decided then that we would rather head back to Bali rather than stay on Lembongan as there was nothing to do there.
The evening was spent watching Man Utd Vs Everton, and it was such a nerve wracking match but we were well pleased to watch Everton's come back. What a brilliant game with some top goals!
The following morning, we caught the 10.30am boat back to Bali...
