After wanaka we went to queenstown and met beth and steve who had been visiting some friends in the north island. From franz josef we drove to kaikoura which took around 6 hours. We had some good fish and chips in a local shop and played cards in the evening. After staying a night in Milford sound we drove back to te anau for another night. We were greeted by the most sarcastic English girl I've ever met! We had an overnight stop in te anau before driving onto Milford sound for a river boat cruise! Milford sound is a big fjord carved out of the countryside by a big glacier. It is really pretty!
