We had an overnight stop in te anau before driving onto Milford sound for a river boat cruise! Milford sound is a big fjord carved out of the countryside by a big glacier. It is really pretty! They measure their rainfall there in metres as they have some of the highest levels of rainfall in new Zealand. We were quite lucky with the weather though! It rained a little bit but not too much! We took a cruise up the fjord and saw some seals along the way! We also saw lots of waterfalls and huge mountains. It was a very pretty trip! When the water reached the ocean the waves were so choppy they made me feel ill. It was about a 2 hour cruise, it was good but not worth the money we paid for it!
We took a walk in the evening to see some glow worms in the woods! They were so cool! Just little White lights all over the trees! There wasn't anything else to do in the hostel there so we played scrabble and cards in the evening!
