We'd originally planned to get the train down through Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur, but with time running out before our flight to Australia in just over a week's time, we opted for a flight instead to make sure we had time to explore properly. When we pulled into the pier at Koh Phi Phi we didn't think the water could get any clearer than Koh Tao but there were barracudas on the surface & shoals and shoals of multicolored fish everywhere! There were cute little alleyways again full of shops and eateries, and our resort was straight down to the end with a beautiful view of all the limestone karsts. Ideal location but still away from all the noise at night! We thought we'd check out the nightlife so...

Our ferry from Koh Samui was nice & quick, with a smooth transfer straight onto the most rickety old bus I've seen! Me and Billy were knackered so fell asleep almost straight away at the back, thinking we'd be on there for 6 hours or so... only to be woken up 45 minutes later in the middle of nowhere. I'd made sure I was prepared for this next catamaran by taking some motion sickness tablets beforehand which worked a treat! The waves were still just as choppy but we were both able to catch some shut eye for a couple of hours before we pulled into the pier.
