"We got married in a fever
Hotter than a pepper sprout
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackson
Ever since the fire went out"
We decided we needed a decent breakfast before we headed off so stopped in at the Waffle House and started the day with an American Breaky!
Then we stopped in at Walmart and bought some crazily priced food and socks (yup Chris needed new socks) then we hit up Abita Brewing Company. They are just outside of Covington (New Orleans) and had a large range of homemade beers (even a strawberry larger!!), we got a tasting paddle and some sodas and hit the road again.
Jackson is a great little town, not much in the city centre but what we're learning about America is that seems to be the case is most places. The museums and businesses are downtown but that's about it.
Once we got to Jackson we stopped at the Agricultural and Forestry Museum so Chris could look at lots of old tractors. It was set out a lot like Pioneer Village back home and was pretty much an old town, with doctors surgery and a gas place then all the cotton and mule sheds. Was quite cool to see it all as it was back then.
Afterwards we found an outlet mall and did a spot of shopping before picking up some food and finding our accommodation for the night.
