19th Nov 2007...

Checked out the Golden Gate Bridge in the morning before we left. Finally got to see it for the first time since arriving - so foggy and misty all of the time. We then headed west to Yosemite National Park well that was before we got pulled over by the cops for speeding. Doing 92 in a 55. John was a naughty boy... was so lucky not to go to jail...was so funny actually! Instead we had to Sonora town court to try and pay the fine for it. $200 - $300.

Finally got to Yosemite for 4ish so we had about an hour before sunset. Wentto see Yosemite Falls and then did some boulder climbing - great fun. Chris you would have loved it - like old times in the lake district. Then back to the hostel - Yosemite Bug, about 258 miles away for the National Park. Met up with Fanny (french) and Selina (German) - John had previouls ymet these in Austin beforte i arrived. We ended up playing cards (Kemps) in front of a nice warm log fire in the middle of the mountains and a good bottle of wine.

20th Nov 2007…

John left early to catch his flight from LAX to Fiji. Met back up with the two girls then they dropped me off back into the national park. I decided to do the Mist trail - about 4 miles, met up with David, 51, West Virginia, almost immediately and so did the trail together. Amazing scenery - check out the pictures. Then back to the hostel in the evening to chill out in front of the fire after tiring day!
