19 Oct 2007.....

So 2 hours to Philly on the greyhound bus......bit of an experience..was stupidly busy, was glad to get there really and that was for only two hours, can't wait for my matharon sessions cross county!!!!

Meet up with Marc at the hostelbut was closed until 4.30 so had a few hours to kill. Sampled the famous Philly Cheese steaks......heart attack in a bun....no good!

We then decided to head to the Eastern Sate Penitentiary - America most historc prison. Was really good, and very imformative tour... i need to get the pictures of Marc as battery had died at that point. Saw where Al Capone was imprisoned too!!

Hostel is best yet...lots of commuial areas, was nice to sit down oh and a free pool table so was on that all night....gole!

20 Oct 2007....

So the plan today was to crack on with all the American history stuff and then head to DC in the late afternoon to do some site seeing there before the American football game of the Washington Redskins Vs Arizona Cardinals, which will still had yet to get tickets for....having a bit of a nightmare really with that. Problems with internet/site/credit cards/phones etc....we must have wasted about $30 trying to get these tickets....didn't happen so we ended up staying another night in Philly.

Went to see the liberty bell, the place where the declaration of independance was first drafted and the Philly Visitor Center. Quite enjoyed learning about the American history!

Had to to it........Went and did the Rocky steps.....Nat you may want to be sitting down when you watch the pro in action......Rocky eat your heart out!! Check out the video.... I just love it don't I!!!!

Watched the rugby world cup final in an Irish pub in Philadelphia..>!>!

After that headed out to south street and around market square. We meet up with some girls from Michigan and was quite a good laugh. Got back to the hostel where we meet up with some student from Penn state and had a few more drink and playing pool. Again needed to be up early so we could head off to DC.
