March 31st (Tuesday) - Day 31 - Siem Reap to Bangkok, Thailand
3 hour drive to the Thai boarder again very uneventful apart from lunch over the border. We sat in a cafe and the heavens opened. I have never seen rain like it even coming from England. It lasted for about 15 minutes and just stopped. It dried up almost straight away. It drove a large amount of flying ants out and the frogs and gekcos where having a feast. 4 hours later we were all back at the starting hotel meaning the end of our trip all apart from the last night blow out. We went for dinner and as expected Barbara left as soon as she could. We went onto a bar and the Danish girls left after one drink, so it left the 4 of us and Jess. We headed to Ko San road which is the famous back packers area and found a road side bar doing buckets of cocktails for dirt cheap. When I say bucket I really mean a bucket. I wisely only had 1 but Tom and Lisa had 2 each. They were hammered. We went onto a few more pubs and played pool until about half 3. Then Lisa went missing. Looked everywhere for her and she turned up outside. The only place we had not looked. We decided to call it a night but first we had to pay our respects to Ronald McDonald by swearing at him and abusing him.
April 1st (Wednesday) - Day 32 - Bangkok
With hangovers from hell we eft our hotel after saying some good byes. Went to pay for our bus ticket to the Islands then had 7 hours to kill. We had seen all the sights last time we were here and with all the political protests going on we did not want to wander to far. At 7 we went and waited at the travel agent and got collected. We checked into our VIP double decker sleeper bus. It set off at about 9 and I watched the film that I could not hear before nodding off.
