April 9th (Thursday) - Day 40 - Penang to Cameron HighlandsShock horror another 5am start. We were getting a bus at 6am to the mountain ranges of Malaysia. There were 5 other people on the bus. An older couple who are travelling for a year (who live like 5 mins from me) and 3 uni guys (one of which lives 10 mins from me). The 3 guys had been up all night and were fairly drunk. April 6th (Monday) - Day 37 - Ko Phangan to Penang, Malaysia 5am wake up for our 6am taxi to the ferry terminal. The ferry to the mainland took 2.5 hours. We then had a coach journey to the closest city. That was 1.5 hours. We then got in a mini bus to the border town.
