August 14th (Friday) - Day 165 - Auckland
Back on the bus yet again - at least today was a short one. We got dropped in the middle of nowhere and waited for the main circuit bus to come pick us up. 90 minutes later we were back in Auckland. I didn't pay much attention to the whole journey as it was raining. We checked in to our hostel which was the cheapest so far plus they chucked in a free meal and a drink! Not bad! We then set out to find Sarah a new bag. Less than 2 weeks to go and her zip broke on her bag. We ended up getting a suitcase for her as it was going to be a lot cheaper than a backpack. We grabbed some lunch and setoff to have a look around Auckland. As it was raining the looking around turned more into a shopping trip as we kept ducking into shops to avoid the rain. We looked into going up the sky tower but we would not have seen much. That evening we went for our free meal and got chatting to some people who had been on the Whitianga trip with us. It was our queue to leave when a really drunk local arrived and asked us the same question about 5 times. We went and watched some TV before bed.
