Monday 31st August 11:30am Ko Tao: Turtle Island

Well we finally arrived at the beach! After a small blip in transport (neil lost our boat tickets) we arrived at the main pier in Mae Haad town. W walked up a small stretch and got ourselves a guest house. Its ok, only fan no air con but we can manage!! We are not on the main strip but made it down to a small beach which had only 2 other people on. Neil was pleased to get his feet wet and walked out a little into the sea. We then walked south of the peir and ate in a lovely restaurant on the beach (Whitening) a rain storm made us move under shelter but the view was still as good. We agreed to find the main strip today and find a beach and decided we should be prepred for a walk after someone told us it was 2okm away! 15 mins after leaving our room we are here! BRILL! The weather isnt great, a bit windy and the sun hasnt broken through yet, but we have our fingers crossed. We have just eaten breakfast beachside with not another soul in sight. Thats all for now really. Going to chill on the beach hopefully for a couple of days before moving on!

Thanks for all your messages. Its great to be able to keep in touch. We are desperate to get photos up but the computers here are not very quick and therefore downloading is either really slow or impossible.We shall keep trying!
